I am working on SoB and in checking my wingmen, I came upon user 339862, who has finished a WU I am currently crunching. His computer took around 3 seconds to complete the WU. When I checked his tasks, I found he had several tens of SoB wu's, all finished after 2 or 3 seconds.

This can't possibly be correct, can it?

Either these wu's are invalid and should be marked as such, so that they can be sent out again to other crunchers, or these wu's have been checked in another way and are now fed into the system for us to doublecheck.

If the latter is the case, I think it would be only fair to say so (which someone actually did, somewhere, where I didn't notice). After all: the chance for success in SoB is very small, but if we are just doublechecking, chances of finding anything are actually zero, are they not?

It probably is the same issue as discussed in another thread from one of the project developers:

There is no upload file, the job failed. Once a second task is finished and the validator gets the pair of them, that task will fail with a Validate error.

Once invalid another task will go out. Yes it takes longer this way, but the validator doesn't touch the tasks until there is a quorum to keep the validator from being overworked and causing a huge backlog.
