How good is Intel's i7-10750H? This processor type doesn't show on the "Fastest CPUs" page. I need a new laptop for my studies and the web stores offer this processor above all else.

It's a laptop, which is another way of saying that cooling will be the problem, not the CPU itself. In theory, it's a low clock, 6c FMA3 capable chip, so it'll be decent at any of the CPU projects, cooling notwithstanding.

If the Ryzen 7 4800H/HS is available at a similar price with similar specs(GPU+screen+SSD+RAM), then definitely go for it.
That i7 has only 6 cores, which is comparable to the Ryzen 5 4600H/HS.
That being said, R5 4600H/HS also has a higher base frequency and higher IPC, which LLR benefits from. If you can find a 4600H/HS laptop at a lower price with a similar spec(same meaning as above), preferably with a cadence of $50 of more, then go for it too if your budget is low.

Finally, all above processors can more than satisfy studying needs. An example of a processor that cannot withstand both PG and studying is the R5 2500U.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up getting a Ryzen 7 4700U since it was on sale. It runs well without cooling problems. Lucky for me that the LLR2 just went live so I don't have to worry about it being offline a lot of time.
