I see I have found two TPS primes, and I would like to report them. I prefer to report them as fast as possible. When I found a woodall, I got an email that told me what the number was. Where can I figure out what these numbers are for these TPS primes?

On your account page (http://www.primegrid.com/home.php), it will show you your stats and any found but unreported primes but only if they qualify for the list. If they are primes, but too small, they won't appear on that page.

Did you get an email notifying you of your find?

That is the page I'm looking at, and it tells me under "LLR TPS (n=333333) tests" that I have found 2 primes.

Under my certificate of computation it tells me the same - that I found 2 of them.

Well, its not that big of primes I figured, which is why I want to get them reported pretty quick, maybe the 103000 digit ones. I know it will fall off the bottom of the top 5000 and I won't get the credit if I don't get them in reasonably soon.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding something though. I mean, if it says I found 2 primes, I have found 2, right? :)

Hello Matthew
Looks like you have found 2 primes under TPS + the mega Woodall. :)

OK - But the question still remains, how do I report the primes found under the TPS search?

Your two primes showing up under TPS were doublechecks.

Thanks to jmblazek who was able to explain to me that although my tests resulted in prime, I was just the double checker.

Maybe next time I'll get one that isn't a double check. Tested about 7000 of them and I was thinking I would have 2 by this point. Now I find out it should be one, so I'm a bit under where I should be. Maybe a few million in it will be leveled out :)

Have faith, I've seen percentages as high as 5% or 6% and as low as 1%. It is similar to gambling and boxes of chocolate in that you just don't always know what you're going to get.

Actually, I was just looking through the top LLR prime finders, noticing a lot of oddball stats from here to there. But, that is what "average" is all about anyway :)

I think I'll only start to get frustrated if I hit 25,000 TPS work units without having a prime to report :)

I was just wanting to have a few to move my position up on the prime finder ranks. I was hoping to possibly be in the top 10, but already fell down a notch when the 997,000-something digit prime was found not long ago and that guy had already submitted a few otherwise.

I know I'm waiting on you to double check some of my oldest results. It would seem that you are getting too many tasks on your computer waiting to crunch. To put it another way, if it always takes you 7 days to turn a WU around and everyone else takes .5 days, you will almost always be a double checker. So if your comps are always connected to the internet i would lower your que. Just a suggestion.
