Hi,

I tried 2 Woodall tasks on my AMD system which has been doing great on most other Primegrid tasks.
Both have been invalid - is there anything special to consider?

For reference, here are the task IDs: 704160104 and 703427924

Thanks for any insights you might be able to provide.

Cheers
Holger

It's not just Woodall; you're getting errors on lots of tasks.

Your computer is malfunctioning. The result of the calculations is sometimes incorrect, and is being rejected by the server when your result doesn't match the result from the other computer that processed the same work unit. Typically, this is caused by excessive overclocking, but there are other causes such as defective memory, overheating, and literally just about anything else in the computer.

If you can't get your computer to work reliably with LLR tasks, it might be able to run the sieves successfully. They don't push the computer nearly as hard as LLR does.

Sometimes, just clearing the dust from the heatsink and its fan will do the trick.

Install some heat monitoring software. You might have to reduce the clock speed to get stability.

Good Catch, all units returned at a certain date had errors - seems the system was overheating.
So first I got rid of the 10% overclocking I found in the BIOS and am now doing WOO/CUL units with only 50% of the cores. WIll see how that goes and see what happens at full load after the challenge.
