I remembered reading a while back on these boards that Riesel Sieve and PrimeGrid had worked together in making their LLR application and wrapper (which work for both projects); at the time, the application was available only for Windows on both projects. However, recently Riesel Sieve introduced a version of their BOINC LLR application for Linux--and I figured I'd point it out here because I figured that PrimeGrid would probably want to know about it, considering that there would probably be plenty of people who would gladly put their Linux hosts on PrimeGrid if such an application was available.

I personally don't have any Linux crunchers myself, but I figured that a lot of people would be glad if PrimeGrid had a Linux version of the LLR application. And since Riesel Sieve seems to have ported it over without a problem, I was wondering if PrimeGrid might possibly be interested.

I've got Linux crunchers (both 32 and 64 bit) that I run on the RS project. I've helped Bryan on RS with the Linux LLR and Sieve apps. I'd be willing to offer any kind of help for this project (testing, machine resources, etc) for getting LLR (and maybe primegen?) for Linux up and running.
