I am running the 64-bit Linux client.

The primegrid_tpsieve_1.35_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__ati13ati process is using 100% CPU on one core.

If there is a simple and known solution for this, please stop reading here and just provide the answer :)

-----

If you are reading this, I suppose no one else has had this problem (or you just didn't stop reading anyway ;) )

It would appear that the program uses the CPU instead of the GPU. I found a similar error described by tocx in the Sieving/test app forum, and the solution suggested was to add a '--device 1' to the command line. I attempted this, and get the same issue that tocx got in that thread, i.e. a segmentation violation.

I am running on an ATI HD5570 and an AMD processor.

I wish AMD had kept the ATI brand. That might prevent confusion like this.

Are you running 10.10 or later Catalyst drivers with APP?

Sorry, but I'm not very well versed in these things...

I have 10.10 installed, but what is the APP thingie?

I simply downloaded the driver installer as provided by the AMD driver downloads website.

Where can I find this APP version?

Same place...the APP version is listed below the standard version (and can be identified by the larger file size in addition to the APP label).

This is true if I search for say Vista64.

However, for Linux_64 there is only one driver version provided.

Is the APP stuff the same as the SDK kit for Linux?
In that case I have version 2.2 installed.
